Sep 24, 2011. I received a WDNR3700 Refurb purchased on the internet. There are stickers on the bottom for 'security pin' and 'mac number' but the spot reserved. Hot spots Hot spots Hot spots Hot spots. 1 name brand watches under 100$ 2017-2018; 2 best watch movies online 2017-2018.

I received a WDNR3700 Refurb purchased on the internet. There are stickers on the bottom for 'security pin' and 'mac number' but the spot reserved for the serial number is blank. The box doesn't have a serial number on it, nor does any of the paperwork. How do I register the product. The other problem is that for the past few days, when I click on the Netgear website link for product registration, it times out and says that the page noes not exist. Just for the heck of it, I tried it on a computer at my office and got the same result. I figured that the registration page would explain why a refurbished Netgear route does not have a serial number.

Does anyone know what the deal is? I am replacing an very old Netgear router that has given me years of reliable service and I want to replace it with a newer Netgear, but if I can't register my warranty I have a problem. 'You will not be able to register a NETGEAR device without a serial number' -is what the support page jlewter pointed to says. That is a deceptive way of saying refurbished products will NOT get warranty repair or replacment! Refurbished Netgear routers (of which there are MANY - which tells you they have a problem to begin with) have their serial sticker REMOVED as a sneaky way of withholding warranty service, WITHOUT their having to say so. They say you have 30 days email 'technical support' (from India) but if there's a hardware issue they won't accept return without serial number. The Netgear 'limited warranty' paper that came with the refurbished router also stated '30 day hardware warranty' but apparently that is a lie!!

If you are going to refuse hardware service/exchange on refurbished routers they should be clearly labelled and sold as 'AS IS' equipment (despite the misleading 30 days of 'support' from India). The law is clear on this, and to do otherwise is FRAUD. Shame on you Netgear, and all employees thereof who are aware of this situation (including 'senior' forum members!). I am not a staff memember of NG nor any company that deals with them on a formal or informal basis.

The link I pointed you to has the following statement. Urdu Lughat Pdf Free Download here. Refurbished products are not eligible for telephone support, and are only supported by email for thirty days from the date of purchase. No one should use ANY mfgr's telephone support because I have yet to find a company (even my isp, or utility company!!) that doesn't outsource the calls.

I personally wouldnt buy any refub equipment unless the price was WAY cheaper than the OEM/Retail part. Refub can come along in several forms. One of those is simply where imcompetent store staff have allowed a customer to return a good unit as faulty (such as people who cant see the 5ghz channel).

Another of those is where there has been physical componet failures (a standard type of failure usually) and the company has started modifying that specific componet and sending the kit back out. To me, if it's the later of the two then I wouldnt feel comfortable having the product. Of course, As it's bought as a whole, then the power adapter doing out would count as a refurb too, so in that situation a refurb would be as good as a new unit.
