Hey people, I recently bought a Boss GX700 effects processor and decided to revamp my effects rack set up from the rack mounted sliding drawer with a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power supply, Peak PGR-4 audio switcher with my pedals (Boss CS-2 compressor, Xotic AC Booster, Keeley TR-2 mod, EVH Phase 90) that I have connected to the front of my amp. I really like the sound and effects of my Boss GT-3 effects processor, bought the GX700 effects processor, and wanted the rack mount version of it to run into the amp's input instead of the sliding drawer set up that I have now. Unfortunately, when I run my MIDI controller pedalboard>GX700 effects processor>amp input, I get this nasty hum from the GX700 processor when I run the amp clean with or without the compressor in the patch and it gets worse when I go to my crunch or lead guitar amp channels. I also noticed that the rear input of the GX700 doesn't work. I have to run the output of my pedalboard into the front input jack. Hayward Slide Valves Manual Lawn here.

Someone I know has just lent me a Gt 5 to try/ buy. Not had a chance to play with it yet. Looking forward to it though. Any opinions about these?

Is there any way to fix or eliminate the hum from the GX700 effects processor? Is it easy to fix the rear input jack? Do I need to send the GX700 to the repair shop? Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
